Hello, I'm Kathy and my first love is Jesus.
I'm a mother of 4, two boys which I raised as a single mother and two girls which I had in a later chapter of my life. I am a grandmother to three amazing little people. My faith is strong and has carried me through some very painful and difficult times in my life. I have learned who I am in him and how to lean on his direction and to trust in him. I have discovered my gifts and am on a path to using them for his glory. A few years back I heard God calling to me to tell your story, what good is all that he has done for me if I don't tell others about the amazing life journey I've had and how he has walked with me where I never dreamed, I could go. So, I first started a podcast, now I'm writing a book, and through my life coaching I'm helping women of all ages find themselves and their voice. I want to help others see that they too can overcome anything that comes before them with God at your center. It's not always easy to walk alone. I want to be that one that walks with you, to finding your true self, the person that you were meant to be and to set you on a path to finding your dreams, joy, happiness and freedom in this life. It's all possible no matter who or where you are. You just have to take that first step in his direction.
I put my faith in action every single day! It's amazing doing this life with Jesus by my side.
This is my second love. I enjoy capturing moments in time that are special. My passion is people of course but also old, abandoned structures that years ago had a beautiful life in them.
Thats where I came up with the name for my podcast, book and business "Through His Eyes" I was looking at life through my camera lens and one day I realized that if we look at ourselves and our lives through his eyes instead of our own, we get a much better picture of who we are meant to be!
My third love. Quilting has become a beautiful way for me to express my love for others. I am introvert by nature so the peace that it brings being able to quietly work on a quilt is empowering for me. However, I make quilts that remind me of the joy that someone has brought into my life the love or support they were in my journey, and I label all of my quilts with a scripture that reminds me of who they are in my life. It also feels like I left a small token of my love behind for when I'm gone for others to have and to hold and know how much they were loved.
